Our Process

We follow a natural financial planning process that focuses on serving each client individually.

Establish Relationships

Understanding who you are, what you care about and where you want to go is the first step to effective financial planning. When we first meet, we’ll assess your priorities as well as your strengths and your weaknesses. Together, we’ll determine what goals you want to pursue.

Gather client data

This step helps us to establish where you’re starting. We spend some time asking pertinent questions: What savings have you accumulated? If you have a portfolio, does it need to be updated? What’s your risk comfort? How much have you already done to reach your goals? Once we have gathered your important information, we’re better prepared to make recommendations for you.

Checklist of documents you’ll need for this meeting:

  • Account Statements
  • Company Benefit Statements (deferred compensation, pension, 401(k)
  • Insurance policies (life insurance, annuities)
  • Liability statements (mortgage, loan, credit card)
  • Income statements
  • Tax Returns
  • Any other details regarding finances.

Present strategies

Using the data you’ve provided, we determine how much money you will need in order to meet your goals. Working together, we’ll present recommendations with alternative plans, and we’ll help you decide what course makes sense for maintaining your quality of life now while saving for retirement. As an independent firm, we have vast options available to help you prepare for the future.

Recommend a plan

With so many variables, developing a financial plan is different for each client. We make specific recommendations to start you on the path for financial independence. We take into account many details in making recommendations for you: your risk comfort, your needs today and your anticipated future needs.

Implement the plan

Now that you’ve identified what you need to do, this step requires action. This is where you begin implementing what you’ve decided to do in order to help reach your goals. While this step takes discipline, consistency over time brings opportunities for success.

Monitor the plan

Knowing that life changes all the time, we adapt your plan, as needed, to reflect your goals and keep you on track. We walk with you each step of the way to ensure that your plan remains relevant.
